Role Overview

Children’s Home Deputy Manager

* Salary: £34,097 per annum, rising to £35,680 following successful completion of your probation period. (Maximum potential £37,873, performance related)
* Location: Mundesley, Norfolk
* Contract: Permanent
* Hours: 37 hours per week


About the Role

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to play a key role in opening one of Break’s solo children’s homes in Norfolk, helping to create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for a young person in care.

Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will help shape the culture, standards, and daily operations of the home from the outset. You will provide clear leadership to the team, model outstanding childcare practice, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, child-centred care in line with regulatory and organisational standards. Depending on the needs of the home, a mixture of sleep-ins and waking nights may be required from time to time.

You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment where young people feel safe, valued, and supported to achieve positive outcomes. You will supervise a team of Senior Support Workers and Support Workers, ensuring that children and young people are supported in their physical, psychological, emotional, and social development.

In partnership with the Registered Manager, you will ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and other essential statutory requirements, including safeguarding and health and safety standards.


Qualifications and Skills

* Diploma/NVQ Qualified (Minimum Level 3) in a social care related subject.
