Team Leader – Children’s Residential Home
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Team Leader to join a stable and supportive children’s residential home caring for young people with EBD and complex needs. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be trusted, supported, and given genuine opportunities to progress your career within a growing organisation.

Your Role as Team Leader
You will support the day-to-day running of the home, lead shifts, and provide guidance and support to the staff team while maintaining high standards of care and safeguarding. You will act as a positive role model, helping to create consistency, structure, and positive outcomes for young people.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading shifts and coordinating staff and routines
* Supporting and mentoring Residential Care Workers
* Ensuring care plans, risk assessments, and daily records are completed accurately
* Promoting safeguarding, positive behaviour support, and therapeutic practice
* Supporting young people with daily routines, education, and activities
* Working closely with the management team to maintain Ofsted standards
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll remain actively involved in care delivery while developing your leadership skills.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)
* Experience working with children with EBD and/or complex needs
* Confidence leading shifts and supporting staff teams
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Flexibility to work shifts including sleep-ins
Desirable:
* Working knowledge of Ofsted regulations
* Experience in a Senior / Team Leader role
* Full UK driving licence
* Ambition to progress into Deputy Manager or Leadership roles
