Berry Recruitment are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer/EC&I Engineer to join our client's team in Knaresborough.
Please note - to be successful you must be certified to deal with 400+ volts.
Salary: Daily rate of £300 - £500 (Inside IR35).
Contract Length: Initially 3 months with potential to extend.
Main Purpose:
As an EC&I Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, developing and optimising all electrical, control and instrumentation systems. You will provide technical expertise to ensure safety, efficiency and compliance, and will actively contribute to resolving EC&I issues, delivering preventative maintenance, and ensuring regulatory instrumentation testing is consistently completed to a high standard.
Responsibilities:
Act as the electrical duty holder for the site, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Own and maintain site control and instrumentation systems including SCADA, PCS7 and Safety Instrumented Systems.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), calibration, and compliance testing of all instruments in line with statutory and operational requirements.
Support and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement actions arising from investigations.
Assist in plant shutdowns/outages, ensuring EC&I work is safely completed on time.
Maintain accurate and timely records in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
