The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Financial Accountant to join our finance team based at our Coalville site. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong grounding in finance who is looking to build their experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Working closely with colleagues across operations, you'll support key financial processes and contribute to continuous improvement across the business.
The Ideal Candidate
* Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) - essential
* Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
* Excellent communication and business partnering skills with the ability to influence non-financial stakeholders
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
* A proactive, continuous improvement mindset with a hands-on approach
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software
* Experience in food manufacturing is highly desirable.

Your Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
* Prepare and present accurate, timely financial reports with meaningful insight into variances, trends, and business outcomes.
* Deliver detailed analysis and commentary on financial and operational performance versus targets and KPIs.
* Collaborate with operations teams to understand business drivers, provide financial insight, and support cost control and efficiency improvements.
* Review and enhance financial processes and controls to drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
* Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory frameworks.
* Leverage operational and financial data to identify opportunities for profitability and productivity improvements.
* Support ad hoc financial tasks and strategic projects, including scenario modelling, business case development, and systems enhancements.
