We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Intervention Assistant to join a specialist SEMH/PRU school in Bolton on a full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity for experienced education professionals who are passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
The Role
* Supporting students with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs
* Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to promote positive behaviour
* Delivering targeted behaviour interventions and emotional support
* Building strong, positive relationships with pupils
* Supporting students both inside and outside the classroom
* Helping maintain a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience working within SEMH schools, PRUs, or alternative provisions
* Must have previous experience through Teaching Personnel or similar education staffing agencies
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* Confident supporting vulnerable students with additional needs
* Full-time availability only
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
* Team Teach or similar behaviour management training
* Experience supporting students with ASD, ADHD, or trauma-related behaviours
* Background in youth work, support work, or education settings
