Overview

Glen Dimplex Group is a world leader in intelligent electric heating and renewable energy solutions, with significant global market positions in domestic appliances, cooling and ventilation. We design, develop and deliver innovative heating and ventilation solutions across sectors.

As Head of Finance Operations, you will be a key member of the Divisional Finance Leadership team reporting to the Finance Director of GDHV UK&I. This is an influential, high‑profile role involved in delivering transformative change for the Glen Dimplex Group in a multi-site manufacturing context.


Key Responsibilities

* Senior Finance Business Partner to the Operations Function.
* Collaborate with the MD of Operations to contribute strategically and operationally to business success.
* Manage and drive the cadence of reporting for the Operations Scorecard, standard cost of production, variances analysis, and functional spend analysis; translate data into actionable recommendations.
* Utilise data, systems, and reporting (including SAP) to identify value-added opportunities across the business; apply SAP learnings and future development to unlock potential.
* Lead change management with direction, guidance, and support for transformation initiatives.
* Oversee and develop the Operations Finance Team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
* Deliver the GDHV financial planning process for Operations, including cost reviews, budgets, quarterly reforecasts, and five-year projections.
* Provide analytical input into supply reviews and Integrated Business Planning processes.
* Oversee cost effectiveness and efficiency programs across manufacturing, logistics, and the supply chain.
* Develop reporting and metrics to improve Working Capital and ROCE.
* Provide proactive ad-hoc financial analysis to support BU decision-making (procurement, supplier reviews, logistics, cost structures, etc.).
* Own the capital approval process relevant to Operations, Logistics and the Supply chain.


Essential Criteria

* Qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
* Strong post-qualification experience in a fast-paced, dynamic business; manufacturing experience and SAP familiarity is advantageous.
* Proven people management experience with a track record of developing a team.
* Excellent communication skills, able to engage with financial and non-financial stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
* Strong written communication skills with experience preparing reports for senior management up to board level.
* Ownership mindset; delivery-focused with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a detail-oriented, performance-driven environment.
* Problem solving and influencing skills; able to navigate complex tasks and drive results.


Desirable Criteria

* Experience in a multi-site/global manufacturing standard costing environment.
* Experience within an Integrated Business Planning structure.

Travel

Regular travel across Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Great Britain; occasional trips to Lithuania, Norway, Germany and Benelux may be required.
