Summary
* This is a 3-month contract role with a local authority, focused on supporting adults with care and support needs. The position involves assisting individuals with personal care and physical tasks, such as dressing, washing, bathing, and meal assistance. The role is crucial in fostering a supportive environment that promotes maximum independence for service users.
Responsibilities
* Engage in social duties, including facilitating contact with family, friends, and the community, and encouraging participation in social and therapeutic activities.
* Participate in domestic tasks related to the daily routine and personal needs of service users.
* Record incidents and events during duty periods and report to senior staff before leaving the premises.
* Report and document significant matters in accordance with departmental policies on record access.
* Maintain and update care plans and risk assessments in collaboration with service users and senior staff.
Essential Experience Required
* Experience with effective communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
* Experience working in a residential or community care setting with individuals with disabilities.
* Understanding of health and safety issues and risk assessments in a care setting.
* Experience with care planning.
Essential Qualification Required
* Aptitude and commitment to undertake required training, including mandatory and vocational training.
