The General Manager is responsible for leading and inspiring your team members, overseeing and being responsible for safety, standards and service throughout the club.
The Role
* Spending at least 60% of your time customer facing, being the ultimate host of the club and seeing (and fixing) problems before it impacts member experience.
* You will be immersed in our products and services, gaining credibility and demonstrate knowledge through regular involvement across the wide range of activities/products available.
* Showing commitment to be on the frontline and get the feedback from our customers face to face and show we care and are committed to continuous improvement and dealing with challenges head on.
* Being a world class communicator, you will share news and updates effectively and timely, you will talk to your teams and customers regularly and you will try new ways to communicate and use all tools available to you, not just emails.
* Ensuring that you have the autonomy to control (or influence) your clubs operations, activities, your people and your finances to deliver the best possible club and experiences for all users.
* Fulfilling Duty Shifts when required, therefore having responsibility and accountability during the shift, controlling staffing and facility issues throughout the club.
Experience
* Have people management and team skills.
* Past managerial experience preferably within a Fitness environment.
* Ability to understand P&L documents and manage budgets and finances.
