Lead Domestic Abuse Practitioner – Housing

About the role
As Lead Domestic Abuse Practitioner – Housing you will:
* Provide day‑to‑day supervision, case management, and guidance to Domestic Abuse Practitioners embedded in housing teams across the county.
* Support a small caseload of clients, delivering trauma‑informed safety planning and housing‑related support.
* Work closely with housing colleagues and external partners to ensure coordinated, high‑quality support for victims and survivors.
* Attend and contribute to multi‑agency meetings including MARAC, MATAC, and MAPPA, escalating risk and advocating for clients.
* Oversee case allocation, staffing levels, and performance management, including recruitment and induction of staff and volunteers.
* Promote IDAS values and model professional behaviours across internal teams and external forums.
* Monitor service outcomes and produce reports for senior management, funders, and stakeholders.
* Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion by ensuring services are accessible and responsive to the needs of all communities, including those who are under‑represented or marginalised.

Location: Co‑located in council housing team and IDAS offices in Northallerton.
