About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our dementia, nursing, residential, and specialist care homes. As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will plan and implement activities that delight our residents. You will also assist the Home Manager in organizing fundraising events. Whether you’re helping residents socialize more effectively, developing new activity ideas based on their hobbies, or involving the care team, your approach will be rooted in kindness.
We are looking for someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in developing activity programs. Your positive energy, ability to get along with people, planning, organizational, and IT skills are essential. You should manage your time effectively and communicate considerately with residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You must recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. All colleagues will attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should be able to seek advice and report concerns appropriately, escalating issues if necessary.
