Job Title: Project Manager Civil Engineering (Water Utilities) Location: WN8, United Kingdom Salary: £60,000 £80,000 (dependent on experience) Car Allowance / Company Vehicle About the Role An established medium sized civil engineering contractor delivering projects within the water utilities sector is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team in the WN8 area. This is a site based role with office visits. This role will involve managing the successful delivery of water infrastructure projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and within budget. It is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering essential infrastructure schemes with strong long-term project pipelines. Key Responsibilities Managing the delivery of civil engineering / water utility projects from inception through to completion Leading site teams and coordinating subcontractors and suppliers Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget Managing project programmes, resources, and budgets Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes Overseeing health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance Managing project reporting, forecasting, and progress updates Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies Requirements Proven experience working as a Project Manager within civil engineering or utilities Experience delivering water infrastructure or utility projects is highly desirable Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills Good commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets Knowledge of industry standards and health & safety regulations Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar (preferred) Salary and Package £60,000 £80,000 salary depending on experience (top end for senior level PMs) Car allowance (approximately 10% of salary) or company vehicle 20% uplift on car allowance if opting for an electric vehicle (EV) Competitive benefits package
