Overview
East Kootenay Regional Hospital is an 80-bed regional referral centre serving approximately 82,000 people in the East Kootenay region. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency and trauma services with 16 emergency beds and 6 ICU beds. The high-acuity-response-team (HART) offers mobile critical care for rural patients requiring advanced medical support to stabilize and transfer to higher-level care. The facility includes a level 3 laboratory and advanced imaging capabilities. The hospital is undergoing upcoming construction projects and facility upgrades.
Practice Details
Role: Urologist. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care. The candidate will be competent with the full scope of general urologic practice. Locums are welcomed; inquiries are encouraged. Leadership development opportunities are available with Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Program, including the NAVIG8 Emerging Physician Leaders Program designed to develop practical leadership knowledge, behaviours and skills for early-career physicians.
Responsibilities
* Provide full-scope general urologic care within the hospital’s practice settings.
Qualifications
* Board-certified or eligible in urology (or equivalent credentialing as applicable).
* Strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to quality patient care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Compensation & Benefits
* Compensation Type: Fee-for-Service
* May be eligible for additional remuneration under the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including: Retention Premium 14%, Retention Flat Fee $21,696, Relocation Funding available ($9,000 within BC, $12,000 within Canada, $15,000 for relocation from outside Canada), Recruitment Incentive $20,000.
