Offer description

An opportunity has arisen for a Learning Support Assistant to work within the Therapies and Education Service at Rampton Hospital.

The main purpose of the role is to deliver learning strategies alongside and under the supervision of a Lecturer.

The post holder will support patients who have various educational and neurodiverse needs.

The successful candidate will join an established team of educators and support their work.

Please note that this post does not meet the pay or skill level required for a Skilled Worker visa.

This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. Therefore, the Trust would not be able to sponsor for such visas.

Applicants requiring a Skilled Worker Visa can check their eligibility here: https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support patients within a day unit setting and on the wards.

The aim is for patients to achieve educational goals, work towards their recovery, and develop skills to access their treatment pathway.

The successful candidate should be empathetic, observant, and confident. Patience is essential, as you will work with individuals experiencing severe mental health issues. Keeping patients engaged is a key aspect, so a passion for teaching and learning is necessary.

We seek a team player, as you will work closely with other education staff and are expected to collaborate effectively.
