The ideal candidate will manage a network of subcontractors, drive technical delivery across multiple UK sites, and support the development of proprietary modular systems and IP.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the full lifecycle of MEP systems across our infrastructure—from design to installation to commissioning.
* Act as technical lead on MEP matters across multiple active sites.
* Scope, select, and manage subcontractors for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire systems.
* Conduct design reviews, value engineering, and interface with consultants and vendors.
* Work with internal teams to develop and standardise modular MEP systems and repeatable designs.
* Own MEP documentation, drawings, and technical standards for the business.
* Support development of IP related to power, cooling, and system integration in modular environments.
* Provide technical input on due diligence, site assessments, and feasibility studies.
* Troubleshoot system-level issues and ensure rapid resolution in the field.
Requirements
* Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or related discipline).
* Broad experience across all three MEP domains (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
* Strong understanding of data centre or industrial infrastructure projects.
* Proven track record managing subcontractors and technical delivery across multiple sites.
* Familiarity with modular/offsite construction and containerised systems a plus.
* Solid grasp of relevant UK standards and codes.
* Practical, delivery-focused mindset with hands-on approach.
* Willingness to travel across UK as needed.
Nice to Have
* Experience in clean energy, data centres, or critical infrastructure.
* Familiarity with Revit/AutoCAD, thermal modelling tools, and power distribution design.
* Chartership or working towards CEng/MCIBSE/MIET.
