Job Description:

Write a short description of your company, a boilerplate of the business, service or product that you offer. Include your business idea and the target audience. This text is primarily supposed to be descriptive, not selling.

A caring and inclusive Mixed Comprehensive School in Ealing is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Social Care Teacher to join our team on a part-time, fixed-term basis. We are looking for an educator who can inspire students to understand the principles of health and social care, develop their practical skills, and foster a compassionate approach to care provision.

About Our Learning Community:

Our school is committed to providing a well-rounded education that values academic excellence, practical skills, and community engagement. We encourage students to explore their passions, develop their talents, and become confident and articulate care professionals. The Health and Social Care department is a well-resourced and collaborative team, dedicated to delivering engaging and practical lessons.

About the Role:

* Deliver engaging and challenging Health and Social Care lessons to Key Stage 4 and 5 students, focusing on GCSE and A-Level curriculum requirements.
* Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate a variety of health and social care theories, practices, and ethical considerations, encouraging students to develop their knowledge, understanding, and skills.
* Facilitate student-led research projects, case studies, and practical activities, encouraging inquiry, analysis, and communication skills.
* Assess student progress through written assignments, projects, practical assessments, and examinations, providing detailed and constructive feedback.
* Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Health and Social Care curriculum, ensuring it aligns with current care standards and best practices in health and social care education.
* Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as care-related clubs, volunteering opportunities, and participation in health and social care events, to enhance student learning and provide opportunities for students to explore their interests.

Ideal Candidate:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Health and Social Care, Nursing, or a related field.
* Experience teaching Health and Social Care to GCSE and A-Level, with a focus on both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and practical skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
* A passion for fostering compassionate care and developing practical skills in young people.
* Knowledge of a wide range of health and social care theories, practices, and ethical considerations.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the wider life of the school.
* Flexible part-time hours to suit your availability.
* Competitive salary (pro-rata MPS/UPS + Outer London Weighting).
* Access to well-equipped classrooms, resources, and practical care facilities to support health and social care teaching and learning.
* Opportunities for continuous professional development in health and social care education and related fields.
* A collaborative and supportive team environment within a leading school committed to practical skills and community engagement.
