We are now looking for an experienced Senior Consultant who can lead the end-to-end delivery of projects within our high-impact growth portfolio and act as a thought-partner to our team and clients.
ROLE SUMMARY
This is a core consulting role at Outside. As a Senior Consultant, you will lead complex growth projects from initial sense-making and design through to delivery and scaling. You will work closely with senior decision-makers (often C-suite) and facilitate work with cross-functional teams focused on priority growth opportunities.
You will work closely with our Head of Growth and other growth consultants, associate coaches, programme management, designers and Outside's leadership team.
This role is for someone who can combine consulting judgement with exceptional session design and facilitation skills. Someone who wants to learn, apply and steward Outside's growth approach and existing playbook – creating lasting impact for teams, the client relationship and their own ongoing development.
Senior Consultants hold accountability for the integrity of the content design, the quality of facilitation and coaching, and the impact of the work. Partnering with our programme management team, allows Senior Consultants to focus fully on senior stakeholders, team learning, and growth impact, supported by robust delivery excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Programme design and delivery (majority of your focus and time)
Lead our growth acceleration and growth strategy projects end-to-end, including:
Conducting initial sense-making interviews with key client stakeholders to define the project brief and develop a cohesive narrative.
Designing core business metrics and learning objectives that can be tracked and measured throughout the project.
Conducting team and context analysis and understanding business needs to design optimal journeys that combine working sessions, virtual touchpoints and ongoing coaching support.
Designing tailored workshops and sessions using core Outside Growth Playbook content and approaches that create unique experiences for leaders and teams.
Exceptional facilitation of in-person and virtual working sessions creating deep confidence and trust amongst senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Ongoing adaptation of project design and content based on team dynamics and organisational context.
Developing tailored coaching approaches for projects based on the content journey. Coaching teams and leading Outside coaching teams to ensure teams receive consistent and impactful support - adapting to observations and team need.
Working in close partnership with the Programme Management team to ensure delivery is seamless, thoughtful, and outcomes driven.
Anticipating risks and second and third-order impacts, escalating and addressing them early and constructively.
Act as a thought-partner to senior sponsors and client leads, helping them:
Build the necessary mindset for growth - the ways of thinking that enable ownership, pace, and better decision-making in uncertainty.
Leverage our Growth Playbook to create a new way of working that turns insight into action in real conditions.
Reimagine the future state they are working towards and understand how the broader system around the work can enable their goals.
Deepening understanding of Growth content and contribution to Outside (remainder of your focus and time)
Work alongside Outside's senior leaders and consulting team to:
Stay at the forefront of Outside's thinking and practices around growth and mindset.
Integrate evolving insight into live sessions with judgement and integrity.
Continuously strengthen your own consulting craft, facilitation presence, and decision-making around Outside's growth approach.
Contribute to the ongoing development, learning, and evolution of Outside's thinking and work through translating live feedback and experiences with teams into content changes and opportunities.
Support and potentially lead others as the team grows.
Identify and nurture organic opportunities for further work within projects or through your professional network.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU'LL HAVE:
Significant experience delivering growth, innovation or strategy work that creates lasting impact, ideally gathered through a consulting or in-house environment.
Credibility working with senior leaders and executive-level stakeholders.
Strong and personable facilitation skills combined with the ability to synthesise complexity into clear insight and actionable next steps.
Experience coaching teams (or leaders) to change how they think and work.
Comfort working with ambiguity, autonomy, and responsibility.
Strong written craft - able to create impactful, usable content pieces / tools that teams and leaders regularly use.
