Responsibilities
1. Conduct research activities for important customer problems within the Global Research Team using state-of-the-art chromatography and mass spec instrumentation; exploring new affinity column technologies, protein profiling, and host cell protein characterization
2. Collaborate with Chemistries, Development, Applications and Research teams across the company
3. Implement own research activities within Waters Research
4. Lead technical project teams in areas of expertise
5. Execute systematic test measurements with prototypes and available instrumentation
6. Prepare detailed technical reports, draw conclusions based on strong data analysis, contribute to patent applications, and provide internal and external presentations to summarize scientific findings
7. Provide technical support, share development ideas, contribute to our global research portfolio and assist in effective research planning
8. Provide technical support to external collaborators where applicable
9. Stay up-to-date in scientific literature for specific area of specialization
10. Establish procedures and work effectively with cross-functional project teams including scientists, biologists, chemists and engineers
11. Perform other duties in a professional manner as deemed necessary by the organization
Qualifications
Education:
12. is Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry or related discipline with 3 or more years of experience,. in Chemistry/Biology/Engineering or related discipline with 7 or more years of experience, or. with 10 or more years experience required
Experience:
13. 5 or more years of practical experience in bioanalytical chemistry or related discipline
14. Experience in basic cell culture based proteomic sample preparation, protein assays, peptide identification and proteomics
15. Hands-on experience in LC-MS instrumentation use/maintenance, column technologies and sample preparation
16. Experience in main proteomics informatics pipelines
17. Experience in LC and/or MS-based proteomics methods preferred
18. Hands-on experience with multiple immunoassays preferred (ELISA, Western Blot,
19. Interest in bioanalytical data analysis
20. Interest in a broad range of bioanalytical techniques

25. Well-developed oral and written communication skills in English
