Overview
A vacancy has arisen for a relief library assistant with excellent customer service skills to work in our community libraries and at Library Headquarters. You will assist in the delivery of a range of library services to the community.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the delivery of a range of library services to the community.
* Work as part of a team to provide accessible library services across locations, including evenings and weekends as required.
Qualifications
* Educated to standard grade or equivalent.
* Interest in literature and good ICT skills.
* Flexible approach to the working week, including evening and weekend working.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work with people of all age groups and abilities.
* Previous library experience and knowledge of the Spydus Library Management System (or equivalent) is desirable; applicants with a customer-focused attitude and good teamwork skills are encouraged to apply.
* The successful candidate will be required to complete a Level 1 Disclosure Scotland check. If your application progresses after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.
