We are working with a specialist secondary school in South West London that is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to support students with a range of additional needs in a structured and supportive environment. About the School The school caters to students aged 5–11 with moderate learning difficulties and associated needs, including autism, SEMH, and speech and language challenges. It has a strong focus on emotional wellbeing, personalised learning, and helping students develop independence and life skills. Staff work collaboratively, and the leadership team is committed to professional development and staff wellbeing. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN and associated needs Assist with the implementation of EHCP targets and personalised learning plans Support students with emotional regulation, communication, and behaviour strategies Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff Contribute to a calm, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment Ideal Candidate Experience supporting young people with SEN, either in schools or other care/youth settings A calm, empathetic, and consistent approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine interest in inclusive education A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply This role would suit an experienced TA or someone with transferable skills from youth work, psychology, or care.
