Job Title: Escalator Repair and Service Engineer
Location: Remote Working (Ideally your home base needs to be in the Southeast of England due to our office location)

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Escalator Repair and Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and modernization of escalators to ensure safe and efficient operation in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on escalators in commercial, residential, and public facilities.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs or replacements.
• Respond promptly to service calls and breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Conduct testing and commissioning of new or modernized escalator systems.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation in compliance with company and legal standards.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Working as part of a team.
• Liaise with clients, building managers, and other stakeholders to provide updates and technical support.
• Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response duties as required by the business.
Qualifications and Experience
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Escalator repair and service. Or NVQ level 3 in Escalator Installation and commissioning.
• Proven experience in escalator maintenance and repair (minimum 3 years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems related to escalators.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as EN 115, LOLER, PUWER, and relevant HSE guidelines.
• Valid CSCS/ECS card and full UK driving license.

• Manufacturer-specific training (e.g., Otis, Schindler, KONE, Thyssenkrupp).
• First Aid and Health & Safety certifications.
