Overview
Band 7 Clinical or Counselling Psychologist - Bristol. A one‑person maternity cover opportunity within our Specialist Community Eating Disorders Service. The service is part of the Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) and supports people living with eating disorders with a commitment to compassion, equality and specialist training and development.
Responsibilities
* Provide a psychology service to the designated team including assessment and therapy for individuals and groups as appropriate.
* Provide a specialist consultancy service to multidisciplinary teams and other agencies providing care for the client group.
* Participate in generic team duties as agreed by the operational manager and Psychology Lead to meet the needs of the service.
* Participate in clinical and caseload supervision arrangements provided by the Psychology Service.
* Maintain accurate records and monitor clinical workload using agreed systems; ensure timely recording of all data required by the Trust.
* Opportunity to provide clinical supervision to junior clinicians within the eating disorders team.
* Receive opportunities for specialist training and ongoing professional development.
Person Specification / Qualifications
* Essential
Doctoral clinical/counselling psychology qualification or equivalent and HCPC Registration.
* Desirable
Training in CBT and/or a NICE recommended therapy for eating disorders.
Experience and Knowledge
* Essential
Evidence of interest in working with the specified client group.
* Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team.
* Assessment and therapeutic interventions with the client group.

Employer: Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. Location: Blackberry Hill Hospital, Manor Road, Bristol BS16 2EW. Contract: Permanent; Working pattern: Part-time. Salary: £47,810 to £54,710 per annum (pro rata).
