Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve have an exciting opportunity for Admissions and Retail Sales Assistants to join during our first ever festive light trail.
As an Admissions and Retail Sales Assistant, you work in our gift shops, ensuring that our customers receive an outstanding first impression of Port Lympne park and Port Lympne Illuminated. You will welcome and admit visitors, answer queries, upsell encounters and experiences, operate tills for gift shop sales, and ensure that the gift shop is stocked and kept clean and tidy. This role may also involve working at the gift shop at Howletts Wild Animal Park.
Responsibilities
* Welcome visitors and admit them to Port Lympne park and Port Lympne Illuminated.
* Answer customer queries and upsell encounters and experiences.
* Operate tills for gift shop sales and process transactions.
* Maintain stock levels and keep the gift shop clean and tidy.
* Potentially work at the Howletts Wild Animal Park gift shop as required.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Motivated individuals who understand the importance of excellent customer service.
* Confident communicator; able to stay calm under pressure and remain courteous with customers.
* Team player who can also work on their own initiative.
* Previous customer service experience, gained in a fast-paced retail environment.
Contract details
Rate of pay is £10.18 for under 21-year-olds and £12.21 for over 21-year-olds. The role offers flexible hours on a rota basis, with shifts during the days and evenings between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm. Applicants may also be required to work at our sister park, Howletts Wild Animal Park near Canterbury. A reliable form of transport is recommended due to the remote location of Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
Port Lympne Illuminated
Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve is a world-renowned wild animal park set within 600 acres of Kentish savannah. This festive season, you will step into the secret after-dark world of Port Lympne, where forest fairies have enchanted the woodland walks and gardens to create a dazzling, illuminated celebration of their animal companions. Port Lympne Illuminated will feature a brand-new light trail, vintage-inspired fun fair and delicious food and drink.
