The Brades Lodge has an opportunity for a passionate, dynamic Teacher of Maths who is committed to making a genuine difference to the lives of challenging and vulnerable students. The Brades Lodge School invites applications from ambitious and aspirational MS/UPS Maths teachers. Full support will be given to ensure a smooth transition to being part of an SEMH school team.
Position: Teacher of Maths – Head of Department (The Brades Lodge). This role offers the opportunity to lead the Maths Department within an SEMH setting.
Responsibilities
* Develop and sustain a vibrant and engaging Maths curriculum
* Lead and develop a small team of specialist Maths teachers (currently 2)
* Teach small groups; class size is approximately 8 students
* Support students with a range of academic needs, from the gifted and talented pupils needing stretch and challenge to those working below age-expected levels requiring additional support
* Access high quality, relevant and meaningful CPD
* Be part of an established, supportive Management Team
* Deliver AQA qualifications, including GCSE Maths
* Work in a caring, nurturing environment where the well-being of both pupils and staff is a priority
