Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It's our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you'd like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities for this too and would love to hear from you.
The table shows the periods of time in the week we'd like you to be available to work - the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you'll have 3 weeks' notice of your shifts. As the face of Tesco on the road, we deliver from Lands' End to John O'Groats. Our Delivery Drivers meet customers in their homes daily. This role is about more than just driving; it's about helping others and delivering excellent service with a smile.
This job is hands-on, physical, and varied. No two shifts are the same, and you'll be delivering to customers with the support of Managers and colleagues back at base.

Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring the van and trays are clean and organized
* Leaving the yard tidy and picking up litter
* Washing trays as needed
* Loading the van and checking its roadworthiness
* Communicating with customers about orders and substitutions
* Handling products carefully and delivering during scheduled times
* Calling customers before early arrivals and informing stores if late
Requirements:
* Build relationships with colleagues to foster team spirit
* Be warm and welcoming with customers and colleagues
* Respond quickly to customer needs and embrace change
* Be energetic and driven to exceed expectations
* Share ideas for store improvement
* Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA Driving license (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
