Certain Advantage is hiring for a Mechanical Design Engineer, based near Yateley.
This role is on a permanent basis and is fully office based.

The Role:
This position is for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer working on a wide range of projects involving subsea instrumentation and technology.
You will be a key team member, working in a challenging subsea environment where designs are pushed to their limits.
* Design and develop bespoke concepts and technologies based on requirements from internal and external customers for subsea instrumentation.
* Projects vary from short-term (1 day) to long-term (multiple years).
* Collaborate closely with clients, production, engineering, and procurement teams.
* Research new technologies and assess their applicability within the company.
* Verify and validate designs using hand calculations, FEA, and experimental testing.
* Create comprehensive mechanical drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
* Contribute to developing new processes, practices, methods, and equipment.
* Maintain electro-mechanical design responsibility throughout the product lifecycle.
The Individual:
* Strong technical design experience, ideally in subsea equipment design or similar fields.
* Extensive FEA experience.
* Practical mechanical engineering skills.
* Eligible for SC Clearance.
