The Contracts Manager job itself involves overseeing a range of new build and refurbishment hotel projects in the South West, each lasting up to 22 weeks. In this pivotal role, you will manage activities from inception through to handover, ensuring that each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will have a direct influence on the success of multiple projects while working with diverse teams dedicated to achieving shared goals.ore specifically:
* Manage a number of projects concurrently across the South West Of England.
* Manage several project teams and supply chains to deliver projects to cost, time and quality standards.
* Provide a strategic link between the design department, commercial team and site.
* Produce accurate, consistent and professional records, reports and general information.
* Survey sites to mitigate problems and check the viability of the design.
* Ensure each product meets customer expectations in build and finish.
* Manage and coordinate subcontract and direct labour workforces.
* Provide labour costing for various projects to determine feasibility and profitability.
* Customer relationship management ensuring customer satisfaction.
You will have
To be successful as a contract manager, you will need a minimum of three years of experience as a construction contract manager, with a strong background in commercial fit-out, new build, and hospitality refurbishment projects. A valid SMSTS certification is essential, along with First Aid and CSCS qualifications. Your excellent communication skills will be crucial in managing client relationships and ensuring clear objectives are understood and met across project teams. Additionally, your keen commercial awareness and in-depth knowledge of the construction process will set you apart as an ideal candidate.
