 
        
        We are seeking Scrub Practitioners to join our flagship Ophthalmology Service at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. The new Eye Unit at Chorley Hospital, launched in 2021, features three purpose‑built theatres, an outpatient department with 20+ rooms, and a rapid eye assessment service.
As a Scrub Practitioner you will provide high quality, patient‑focused surgical care, support the development of trainee surgeons, and help deliver first‑class peri‑operative care for all patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons in operating theatres; prepare instruments and equipment, maintain sterility, and manage surgical records.
- Support trainee surgeons, providing guidance and feedback to enhance learning.
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid NHS Scrub Practitioner certification.
- Flexible attitude, willingness to learn, and a desire for new challenges.
