FINANCIAL CONTROLLER - UXBRIDGE

Due to significant expansion they now seek to recruit a financial controller to work directly with the FD based at their Uxbridge head office. This newly developed role represents an excellent opportunity for and ambitious Finance and controls lead, looking for broader responsibilities and the opportunity to make a real positive impact on a growing business.
You will be responsible for developing processes, supporting FP&A and business partnering activities, forecasting, working capital and cashflow actuals to the board, development of the P&L and ensure robustness in their core reporting systems. The successful candidate will be a commercially aware individual who will be technically proficient and will have up to date knowledge of all current accounting standards. You will oversee and develop 1 report and mentor / develop resource within a European Shared service for this role.
For this role it is essential that you are a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), are proficient technically (production of accounts from top to bottom) and have demonstratable experience of driving revenue and reducing cost in a fast paced, commercial environment. It would also be beneficial to have both FMCG and SAP experience.
Duties:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely completion of monthly financial reporting
Conduct detailed financial analysis to assist in decision-making processes.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
Prepare monthly P&L comments for Groupe Senior Executives
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Drive annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with business units.
Analyze budget variances and provide insights to management for corrective actions.
Manage and update financial models to reflect current business conditions and future projections.
Internal Controls and Audit:
Implement and maintain internal financial controls to safeguard company assets.
Coordinate annual internal controls cycle, highlighting areas of risk & ensuring effective mitigation plans are developed & implemented by wider business stakeholders
Coordinate with external and internal auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
Ensure adherence to corporate governance and compliance standards.
Tax and Statutory Reporting and Filing:
Prepare and file required tax returns and ensure timely payment of taxes.
Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and requirements.
Prepare and submit regulatory filings including Financial Statements.
Maintain a comprehensive schedule of filing deadlines and ensure timely submissions.
Cost Management:
Monitor and control operating expenses to ensure efficient use of resources.
Support cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with overall business objectives
Systems and Process Improvement:
Enhance financial reporting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Implement best practices for financial control and reporting.
Partner with shared service centre (SSC) & wider UK business to design, deliver & implement financial process changes to drive efficiency, leveraging technical solutions where appropriate
Drive an end to end review of P2P processes, developing recommendations & implementing appropriate solutions
Stakeholder Communication :
Communicate financial information effectively to senior management and other stakeholders.
Serve as a financial advisor to various departments, providing guidance on financial matters.
Benefits:
A highly competitive base salary of between £75,000 and £90,000 p/a based on the candidate's experience.
