Overview
Applications are invited to join the MLTC team as a Band 5 Care Group Support Officer within Emergency and Acute Care. This role covers a variety of service management areas, including demand and capacity, communication networking, managing patient pathways, procedural management and staff management. You will work flexibly with clinical and non-clinical personnel as part of the Care Group management team, supporting the delivery and governance of the Emergency and Acute Care pathway.
Previous experience in managing a service is essential, with a calm and confident aptitude in a demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Care Group Management by inputting and extracting data from multiple sources to develop dashboards, reports and updates.
* Liaise with clinicians to ensure continuity of service and the implementation of agreed local, trust-wide and national protocols and procedures.
* Support the Care Group Management team in the development of service reviews and subsequent service redesign.
* Manage the Administration Team within Emergency and Acute Care.

Job Responsibilities
The role supports the Care Group Management team in the delivery and management of all patients within the Emergency and Urgent Care Pathway, ensuring adherence to local and national targets. You will ensure processes within care group pathways and quality indicators are met, working with various levels of personnel to meet deadlines. The Support Officer will supervise the Administrative Team within Emergency and Acute Care.
General Responsibilities - Managerial: To supervise and lead a group of staff within the Administration Team, addressing all staff issues.
Sickness management, recruitment and selection, induction, mandatory training and development, workplace training, timekeeping, annual leave and time in lieu, overtime management, competency issues, disciplinary issues and investigation/action on complaints, ensuring a continuous level of staffing in the relevant areas.
Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential):
* NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration or equivalent experience
* Qualification in IT packages, ECDL or equivalent
Skills (Essential):

* Effective written and verbal communication
Knowledge (Essential):
* Basic awareness or knowledge of NHS policy relating to Emergency Care Pathways
