About Us: 19 Hills CIC is a community-driven organisation working in the east of Newport to improve health and wellbeing through local empowerment. Backed by recent funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, we are launching an impactful 18-month Arts & Health programme across the Ringland and Alway communities. The Role: We are seeking an inspiring, highly organized, and proactive Project Manager for 2 1/12 days/week to lead this flagship initiative. In this role, you will bridge creative expression with real-world social impact, overseeing the operational logistics of the programme while designing community-first engagement and volunteer strategies. You will work closely with our Admin Support Officer (a CIC Director) and directly line-manage a part-time Community Engagement Officer to ensure the programme reaches its full potential. Key Responsibilities: Programme Coordination: Source, book, and contract professional arts and health practitioners, manage multi-site venue bookings, and oversee the project timeline. Holistic Community Impact: Design engagement strategies that utilize arts sessions as a safe gateway to identify service users who require wider social prescribing support (income maximisation, housing, energy, and combatting social isolation). Partnership & Collaboration: Liaise and build deep referral networks with local healthcare providers, housing associations, and third-sector organizations. Digital Storytelling: Own the programme's public voice by creating compelling social media content and producing/editing an original podcast series spotlighting the project's work. Future Sustainability: Design a comprehensive volunteers strategy and actively build financial sustainability models/bid proposals to secure longer-term funding for the CIC. What We Are Looking For: Proven experience in community project management (ideally Arts and Health, or Voluntary, Healthcare, or Housing sector). Experience with grant-funded workflows and staff/volunteer management. Strong digital skills, with hands-on experience in social media management and audio content/podcast creation. A compassionate understanding of the socioeconomic landscape facing South Wales communities, including social prescribing frameworks. An entrepreneurial eye for business sustainability and bid writing.
