Full Time Opportunity for competent HGV Driver

We are a forward-thinking haulage business seeking a full-time employee to drive class 2 HGVs. Experience with rigid and curtain-sided vehicles is preferred.

Excellent communication skills and fluency in English are required, as you will communicate regularly with our clients' customers and internal teams. Demonstrating professionalism at all times is essential.
You must hold a British driving license, a valid CPC and Digi card, and have no more than 6 points on your license with no previous DR or DD endorsements.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Supervise vehicle loading to ensure products are safely loaded and secured to minimize damage.
2. Verify that the load matches customer orders and documentation with the loader.
3. Ensure delivery safety upon arrival, respecting customer property, consulting with customers or Traffic Office if in doubt, and using disclaimers if necessary.
4. Check goods with customers, obtain signatures and printed names.
5. Mark documentation for errors and consult Traffic Office as needed.
6. Handle customer issues effectively during delivery, seeking assistance from Traffic Office when required.
7. Carry out deliveries promptly and safely.
8. Drive safely and lawfully, adhering to SSOW.
9. Operate within tachograph laws and driver hours limits.
10. Maintain the vehicle to prevent unnecessary damage and keep the cab clean.
11. Follow fuel directives from the Traffic Department.
12. Comply with all company SSOW.
13. Report accidents immediately according to company procedures.
14. Complete daily vehicle inspection sheets and submit them to the Traffic Office.
