About the role:
Material Planner to work in the Advanced Products business area. Role will involve leading the Material Planning team with focus on process improvements, management of the customers MRP, inventory analysis, shortage management, kitting and maintenance and validity of work orders and their release.

Responsibilities
* Responsibility for leading the Material Planning Team including team development, PD's, Goals settings.
* Reporting into Material Program Manager (Manager)
* Management of Material Planning work load / priorities – Escalation point of contact for team and Material issues.
* Standardisation of Material Planning Processes
* Management of materials planning in line with changing customer demands, ensuring material is available to the production line as and when required to build customer orders.
* Progress chase materials through co-ordination with procurement, goods-in, quality
* Work closely with master scheduling to ensure full utilisation of production line
* Excess, Obsolescence and general Inventory management and reporting, ensuring targets are met and improvements are continued to be made
* Map, review and improve on current processes and procedures, ensuring best practice is adopted within the materials area
* Work with Stores and operations personnel to ensure inventory accuracy
* Work closely with peers to resolve any production issues
* Attend daily production meetings and other adhoc meetings as dictated by contract
* Generation of reports, 'what if's' for Program Management and functional heads
* Maintenance of safety stocks and kanbans
