We re recruiting a Senior Operational Buyer to join a high-performing procurement function within a global engineering and manufacturing business operating across complex, regulated industrial markets.
This is a hands-on, analytical role suited to a confident self-starter who thrives in complexity, high data volumes, and operational problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
* Own day-to-day procurement activity across a complex portfolio, ensuring timely PO release, data integrity, and supplier performance
* Analyse part movement, pricing, and demand to drive optimisation and informed decision-making
* Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, issue resolution, and support to qualification and evaluation processes
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with P2P processes, procurement guidelines, and systems
Key Skills & Requirements
* Strong experience using SAP
* 5+ years experience in direct procurement, ideally within aerospace or industrial environments
* Highly analytical, confident handling large volumes of data, with a lean and improvement-focused mindset
* Independent, solution-oriented fixer able to work with minimal supervision and manage complex commodities (castings/forgings highly desirable)
