Indie Markets are an events company based in Sheffield. We organise hundreds of makers markets, vintage flea markets and vintage furniture markets that tour the UK on weekends.
We are looking for an booking manager to head up our makers markets. You will manage all aspects of event planning and organising from the booking process, to sorting kits and logistics.
You'll also be trained up to run events on weekends and will need to cover some of these in the local area each month and be back up for any cancellations further afield should they arise.
The ideal candidate will have good customer service skills to deal with venues, traders and customers. Be computer and social media literate. You'll need to work well under pressure as events can be challenging at times. We hold hundreds of events each year expanding into new towns and cities.
A huge love and knowledge vintage home and vintage fashion is really essential for this role.
Day to Day duties
Admin
* Processing trader applications
* Taking payments
* Sending trader mail outs
-Answering customer comments and emails
Marketing
-Sending customer mail outs
-Sending out press releases
-Content creation for social media platforms
Business development
* finding and visiting new venues
* creating floorplans
* finding new traders and contributors
Logistics
* Planning and sending out event kits
* Sending out information to traders
* Organising staff and travel
* Liasing with venues
* Ordering tables and other equipment
