Job Opportunity: NHS Property Management Professional
Do you have NHS experience in Property Management, with additional experience in the commercial industry (not lettings or as an agent)? Are you skilled in holding commercial landlords to account, rationalising space, identifying cost savings, and negotiating heads of terms? If so, consider joining our team that manages NHS Property leasing and landlord responsibilities across North Essex & East Suffolk.
The Property team ensures value for money and well-utilised leased accommodation for clinical and administrative services, maximising revenue and maintaining accurate occupancy records.
Are you ready for this challenge? Do you have demonstrable experience in relationship management involving service managers, external contractors, tenants, and landlords? Attention to detail is essential.
Please note: This is a fixed-term/secondment position until 31st March 2026. Current ESNEFT employees will be offered a secondment basis only.
This is a part-time role: up to 22.5 hours per week (2 or 3 days).
* Manage liaison and lease negotiations for new property agreements as both tenant and landlord, including income generation from leases.
* Handle renewals, rate valuations, and all property matters with NHS landlords, private landlords (including PFI/LIFT), local authorities, and other bodies.
* Verify property data, update the Trust property database, and manage staff residential accommodation, including terms, service contracts, and safety compliance.
* Represent ESNEFT at tenant or similar committees, review space utilisation, and occupancy agreements to optimise estate use.
