Band 7 Advanced Specialist Cardiac Physiologist Echocardiography Based at North Manchester General
We are looking for enthusiastic, committed, dynamic individuals to join our team, rotating between sites to provide Cardiac Diagnostic Services in a large tertiary centre, district general and community settings.
Responsibilities include:
* Independently practice at an advanced specialist level in Echocardiography.
* Independently practice a wide range of other cardiac physiology procedures with a high level of skill and autonomy.
* Provide effective day‑to‑day leadership of the cardiac physiology team within the advanced specialist field and other areas when required.
* Actively participate in practical & theoretical training and development of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals from inside and outside the organisation.
* Participate in cardiac & associated medical research as integral to the role.
* Undertake any other duties deemed appropriate to the band when requested by the Principal Cardiac Physiologist.
Qualifications
* BSc Cardiac Clinical Physiology or Healthcare Science or MSc in Healthcare Science
* Clinical Physiology/Healthcare Science or equivalent experience
* BSE Accreditation in TTE
* Teaching qualification
* AHCS or HCPC Registered
Experience
* Practical and formal teaching
* Multi‑disciplinary team work
* Tertiary cardiac Physiology practice
* Participation in cardiac research
Skills
* Competent to practice a wide range of Cardiac Diagnostic procedures
