The Role
As a Majestic Trainee Manager, you will embark on a 12-month development programme that will give you a detailed understanding and experience of all operational, service & leadership standards expected to become a future Majestic Store Manager. You will work through the career pathway training programme with the support of your Store Manager, setting you up for future success.
Job Specifics:
Contract: Permanent
Must be able to work weekends and evenings.
Driving is a key part of this position, so being comfortable driving one of our company vans is essential. Candidates must have a full UK manual driver's license held for at least 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
At Majestic Wine, our Customers are at the heart of everything we do. You’ll be an ambassador for your store, supporting the team to deliver an outstanding shopping experience.
Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities, optimise KPI performance, and build plans to exceed targets.
Deliver exceptional customer service to foster business growth through loyalty and repeat purchases.
Offer a VIP concierge service, actively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings.
Share your passion for products through in-depth knowledge, managing tasting events, and executing an enticing tasting counter.
Take ownership of your wine knowledge, supporting your WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
Maintain the store’s appearance and operational standards internally and externally.
Participate in operational tasks like delivering wine, merchandising, stock deliveries, and customer calls to drive sales.
Identify opportunities for operational improvements.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety, and legal requirements.
Engage in personal development and support junior team members, providing feedback to your Store Manager.
Knowledge & Skills Required
Experience in fast-paced retail or hospitality environments, delivering excellent customer service.
Ability to prioritize and solve problems strategically under pressure.
Self-motivated, capable of working independently and in a team.
Positive attitude with a passion for problem-solving.
Resilient and adaptable to change.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Wine knowledge is beneficial; passion to learn more is essential for passing WSET levels 2 & 3.
Full UK/EU/EEA driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
