ROLE OVERVIEW:
Hartree Partners is seeking an experienced LNG Operator to join our LNG Operations team in London. This full-time role is critical to ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient execution of LNG cargo and ship operations. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of experience in LNG cargo and freight operations, along with strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Business travel may be required.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
* Manage day-to-day operations for LNG cargoes and vessel activities.
* Ensure compliance with all company policies and contractual obligations.
* Review executed contracts to adhere to nomination deadlines and condition precedents.
* Coordinate with counterparties, vessel owners, and masters to facilitate seamless cargo and vessel operations.
* Prepare and issue documentary instructions, voyage orders, and appointment of inspectors and agents.
* Monitor voyage performance, optimize routing and boil-off management, and analyze freight models.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely payments, REMIT reporting, and documentation.
* Support demurrage calculations and ADP discussions.
* Operate Time Charter Parties and liaise with the commercial team.
* Maintain accurate trade data in the ETRM system and propose process improvements.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
* At least 4 years of experience in LNG cargo and shipping operations.
* Strong operational administration and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Experience reviewing and interpreting MSPAs.
* Excellent team collaboration and communication abilities.
* Strong knowledge of the Egyptian LNG market, including regulatory frameworks and key counterparties
* Familiarity with freight model analysis and vessel performance monitoring would be advantageous
