Role Overview
Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs) will join Surrey Children's Services as part of the Assisted and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme. The programme is a 12‑month induction, reflective supervision and support pathway designed to develop frontline social work knowledge and skills.
Responsibilities
* Travel to the assigned area office and within the geographical area to provide direct work with children, young people and families.
* Attend meetings, training and reflective supervision sessions with the team manager and ASYE assessor.
* Support multi‑agency partners in delivering safeguarding and support services.
* Assist with community visits, documentation and case management as required.
Qualifications
* Social Work qualification (Degree, Masters or Post Graduate Diploma) or imminent completion.
* Registration with Social Work England or active application, with intent to register within two years of cohort start.
* Experience working with children, young people and families, including paid or voluntary work, placements or transferable skills.
* Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the county.
