🚛 HGV Class 1 Driver (C+E) – Northampton

Temp to Perm Opportunity | Monday–Friday | Full-Time Hours | Days or Nights or 4 on / 4 off

We are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers based in Northampton to join a busy and well-established logistics operation.

This role offers ongoing, full-time work with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

5. Days – £17.00ph PAYE or £19.05ph PAYE Advanced (Including holiday pay)

🕒 Shift Details

7. Various options available including Days, Nights or 4 on/4 off
8. 12-hour shifts (11 hours paid – 1-hour unpaid break)
9. Various start times (flexibility required)
10. Monday to Friday (Days or Nights)
11. 4 on / 4 off days

🚚 Your Responsibilities

12. Driving HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently
13. Completing deliveries and collections to schedule
14. Performing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
15. Ensuring full compliance with tachograph and driving regulations
16. Using digital systems/apps to complete delivery tasks
17. Completing all paperwork accurately and on time
18. Providing a professional and customer-focused service
19. Communicating effectively with transport planners and managers
20. Following all health & safety procedures

✅ Requirements

21. Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
22. Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
23. Good knowledge of UK driving laws and regulations
24. Previous Class 1 driving experience
25. Flexible approach to start times and workload
26. Good communication and customer service skills
27. Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude

⭐ Desirable (but not essential)

28. Experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS)
29. Distribution or trunking experience
30. Experience with multi-drop or changing delivery schedules
