North Bridge House Senior School & Sixth Form in Canonbury serves children aged 11-18 years. As Islington’s first independent Senior School & Sixth Form, and judged ‘outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted, we are part of North Bridge House School, a family of four independent day schools across five campuses in Hampstead and Islington, London, for children aged 2-18 years.

We are recruiting an exceptional Teacher of Latin to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4. The position starts in September 2025 and is suitable for an experienced colleague. The role is part-time and permanent.

About the role
To contribute to raising standards in Latin by teaching lessons and supporting subject leaders, while also supporting the school's academic and pastoral functions.
In a typical day, you may:
1. Deliver high-quality lessons to develop students’ knowledge and understanding.
2. Support subject leaders in planning engaging and enriching lessons.
3. Report on assessments to monitor progress and attainment.
4. Work with the Head of Year to provide high-quality pastoral care.
5. Support faculty and school development priorities.
6. Undertake supervision duties as per the duty rota.
7. Participate in professional development sessions.
