Job Summary: The Events & Partnerships Officer is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Praxis Cares events programme across all jurisdictions, alongside the development and management of sponsorship activity and awards submissions. This role would suit an ambitious person who is comfortable liaising directly with senior colleagues with guidance and support from the head of Marketing. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on operational execution. The postholder will plan, organise and deliver events directly, manage suppliers and logistics, oversee budgets, secure sponsorship support and ensure each activity delivers measurable impact for brand awareness, recruitment and stakeholder engagement. Key Accountabilities: End to End event delivery Develop and maintain a strategically aligned annual events and awards calendar, ensuring activity supports organisational priorities and brand objectives. Lead the full operational planning and delivery of all marketing-led events, from concept through to execution and evaluation. Source, negotiate and manage venues, suppliers and contractors, ensuring quality, value for money and strong stakeholder relationships. Oversee all event logistics including registration systems, guest management, run-of-show documentation and on-the-day coordination. Take full ownership of internal and external award programmes, including campaign promotion, data management and spreadsheet governance, coordination of judging panels, and preparation of shortlisted nominations. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and ensure all compliance, health & safety and governance requirements are met. Manage event budgets end-to-end, monitoring expenditure, forecasting and delivering within agreed financial parameters. Produce robust post-event evaluation reports, analysing attendance, stakeholder feedback and return on investment, with clear recommendations for continuous improvement. Sponsorship and Corporate Support Identify and approach potential sponsors aligned with corporate and marketing objectives. Develop sponsorship proposals and packages. Negotiate and manage sponsor agreements. Ensure sponsor recognition and delivery of agreed benefits. Maintain professional ongoing relationships with sponsors. Track and report on sponsorship income and outcomes. Awards programme delivery Maintain a structured awards calendar across jurisdictions. Lead the drafting and coordination of award submissions. Gather impact data, case studies and testimonials from colleagues. Manage submission deadlines and processes. Coordinate promotion of award shortlists and wins. Integration with marketing activity Work closely with colleagues to ensure events are fully integrated into campaigns. Coordinate relevant activity across social media, website and email. Capture event content for ongoing marketing use. Ensure brand consistency across all materials. PR and Media Co-ordination Identify PR opportunities arising from events, partnerships and award activity. Draft press releases and media briefings related to events, sponsorship announcements and award successes. Liaise with media contacts or external PR agencies where required. Coordinate internal sign-off processes for media materials. Support preparation of spokespeople for event-related media engagement. Monitor and report on media coverage linked to events and partnerships activity. Copywriting and Content Development Draft high-quality written content including event invitations, programmes, sponsorship proposals and promotional materials. Write award submissions, impact summaries and partnership case studies. Contribute website and social copy related to events and external engagement activity. Ensure all written materials align with Praxis Cares tone of voice and brand guidelines. About The Role Requirements of the Role: Participate in the organisations performance management process. Adhere to and model the organisations values, behaviour and competencies at all times. Deliver events, sponsorship activity, awards submissions and associated PR/copywriting outputs in line with organisational priorities. Carry out all duties in accordance with Praxis Cares rules, regulations and policies. Manage budgets and suppliers within agreed parameters. Operate independently and take full ownership of operational and stakeholder responsibilities. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across jurisdictions and departments. Escalate significant risks, financial or reputational, to the Head of Marketing. The above duties are not exhaustive and may evolve to meet the future needs of the organisation. Essential & Desirable Criteria: Experience & Qualifications: Degree in marketing, events management, communications, business, or related field OR Relevant experience (1.5 + years) delivering events, sponsorship, or awards programmes Proven experience delivering events end-to-end, including planning, logistics, supplier management, and on-the-day coordination Experience preparing award submissions or recognition programmes Experience managing budgets and tracking performance against targets Experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders Skills & Competencies: Strong organisational and operational planning skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Confident negotiation and supplier management skills Attention to detail and problem-solving ability Proactive, hands-on, and capable of working independently Microsoft Excel capability Budget management and financial oversight Attributes: Strongly motivated by Praxis Cares values and mission Calm under pressure and solution-focused Confident and approachable with internal and external stakeholders Highly organised and self-directed Proactive and accountable for operational outcomes Flexible and adaptable in a multi-jurisdiction environment Required Criteria Degree in marketing, events management, communications, business, or related field OR Relevant experience (1.5 + years) delivering events, sponsorship, or awards programmes Proven experience delivering events end-to-end, including planning, logistics, supplier management, and on-the-day coordination Experience preparing award submissions or recognition programmes Experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders Experience managing budgets and tracking performance against targets Desired Criteria Qualification or training in event management, sponsorship, partnership development or fundraising Experience managing cross-jurisdiction or multi-site events Experience liaising with PR agencies or media contacts Experience integrating events with digital campaigns or social media promotion Experience reporting on event and sponsorship KPIs Experience in social care, healthcare, or disability sector Skills Needed Marketing, Digital Marketing and Advertising Skills About The Company Praxis Care provides a wide variety of services to vulnerable adults and children, supporting individuals with mental ill health, learning disabilities, autism and dementia.
