Full-Time Teaching Assistant with SEND Experience – Wigan

Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (with the potential to become permanent)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Salary: £90 – £100 per day (dependent on experience)

Requirements:
* Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
* Experience supporting children with SEN or additional needs.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A calm, patient, reliable, and positive approach.
* Ability to use initiative and work effectively within a team.
Key Responsibilities
* Build positive, trusting relationships to support children’s confidence and engagement
* Assist with learning activities and adapt resources to meet individual needs
* Support pupils with emotional regulation, transitions, and day-to-day routines
* Encourage positive communication and social interaction
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to monitor progress and refine support strategies
* Help create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
