School Lettings Staff
The School Lettings Staff play a vital role in managing and overseeing the use of school facilities outside of regular school hours. This includes coordinating bookings, ensuring the safety and security of the premises, and delivering excellent customer service to community groups, sports teams, and event organizers.
Key Responsibilities
* Facility Management
o Open and close school buildings for lettings as scheduled
o Ensure rooms, halls, and sports facilities are clean, safe, and ready for use
o Set up equipment (e.g., chairs, tables, sports gear) as required
* Customer Service
o Welcome and assist hirers and visitors professionally
o Handle queries, complaints, and booking amendments promptly
o Provide on-site support during lettings to ensure smooth operations
* Health & Safety
o Monitor site security and report any incidents or hazards
o Ensure compliance with safeguarding and fire safety procedures
o Conduct routine checks of facilities and report maintenance needs
* Administration
o Maintain accurate records of bookings and usage
o Liaise with the lettings coordinator or school office regarding schedules
Person Specification
Essential
* Reliable and punctual with strong attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and take initiative
* Basic IT skills for managing bookings and emails
Desirable
* Experience in customer service or facilities management
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
* First Aid certification
Working Hours
Typically evenings, weekends, and school holidays depending on bookings. Flexibility is essential.
