The role
A growing commercial insurance brokerage is seeking a motivated and customer‑focused Commercial Insurance Desk‑Based Advisor to join their Gillingham, Dorset office. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative or customer service experience who is looking to build a long‑term career in insurance. Full training and development support will be provided. Key Responsibilities Provide day‑to‑day servicing and support to commercial insurance clients across a range of products Handle renewals, MTAs, quotations, and general policy administration with accuracy and professionalism Build strong relationships with clients, insurers, and internal teams Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with FCA and internal standards Identify opportunities to enhance client coverage or improve service delivery Support Account Executives and colleagues with client queries and administrative tasks About You Previous insurance experience is preferable, but not essential - full training will be provided Strong communication skills with a professional, client‑centric approach Confident managing customer queries and administrative tasks High attention to detail and strong organisational skills Comfortable working in a desk‑based, fast‑paced environment Keen to develop a long‑term career in commercial insurance Cert CII (or willingness to work towards it) is advantageous What's on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Full training and support with professional development, including CII qualifications A collaborative, people‑focused working environment Clear opportunities for progression within a growing organisation
