On-site, Seascale, CumbriaThe Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join a world-leading, Civil Engineering client based out of Sellafield.
Job Overview:
Working on the BEPT project at Sellafield, you will be working for an established Civil Engineering business on a JV set up with another major engineering firm.
Some of your duties will include:
Execution of the arrangements for controlling, witnessing, recording and assessing the results of commissioning tests which may affect safety.
Delivering the commissioning work scope to an agreed strategy and plan in a timely and cost-effective manner Ensuring a proactive and balanced approach to safety (nuclear, radiological, conventional and environmental) to ensure that safety is optimised during commissioning.
Reviewing commissioning progress and performance and taking appropriate corrective actions where necessary
Managing day to day liaison with personnel to obtain any necessary permissions and minimise impact to the project.
Review of commissioning test results
Ensuring input to other project processes are incorporated, for example, design, HAZOP, risk, contract, estimating and knowledge managementWhat do you need to succeed?
Nuclear Mechanical systems commissioning
Minimum - HNC/HND in Engineering related subject or equivalent
Experience in nuclear commissioning
Project management knowledge, preferably APM member
Calculation production using Excel
IOSH Managing Safely
