They are expanding their Loughborough workshop team and are looking for a skilled and motivated Light Commercial Vehicle Technician (LCV Tech) to join them.
Role Overview:
As a Light Commercial Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for advanced diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and complex repairs carried out to manufacturer standards. With Accredited Master, Diagnostic, or Senior Technician status, you'll bring proven expertise to the role, supporting colleagues with technical queries and mentoring apprentice technicians, helping to create a culture of learning and development within the workshop.
We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable individual who can lead by example in a busy workshop environment. If you're confident with diagnostics, passionate about quality workmanship, and motivated to coach others, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose faults and carry out high-quality repairs on light commercial vehicles
* Complete engine and gearbox replacements as required
* Support the team through knowledge sharing and coaching
* Conduct electronic vehicle health checks (eVHC) and safety inspections
* Ensure final testing is performed to the highest safety standards
* Maintain accurate and compliant records
* Procure required parts and support efficiency in the workshop
* Participate in manufacturer training and continuous development
* Ensure a clean, safe, and inclusive working environment
Candidate Requirements:
* A Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
* Accredited Master/Diagnostic/Senior Technician status (essential)
* Experience in a main dealer or manufacturer-approved workshop (preferred)
* A valid UK driving licence
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* A strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality
* Experience mentoring apprentices (desirable)
* An MOT tester qualification (desirable but not essential)
