Job Description:
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. As a Nursery Assistant, you will work alongside experienced childcare practitioners to support the daily operations of the nursery and provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5 years old.
Responsibilities:
5. Assist with the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote children’s learning and development.
6. Support children with their personal care needs, including feeding, changing, and toileting, while promoting independence and self-help skills.
7. Engage children in play-based learning experiences, both indoors and outdoors, fostering their creativity, curiosity, and social skills.
8. Help to maintain a clean and organized environment, including cleaning and sanitizing toys, equipment, and play areas.
9. Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, demonstrating warmth, patience, and respect.
10. Contribute to observations and assessments of children’s development, under the guidance of senior staff members.
Requirements:
11. A genuine passion for working with young children and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives.
12. Previous experience working with children in a nursery, preschool, or childcare setting is desirable but not essential.
13. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
14. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the nursery and the children in your care.
15. A willingness to undergo relevant training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge in early years education.
