About the Job
Situated within the IT applications team in the Cardiff office, this role will primarily sit within a newly setup DevOps team, supporting a new system to be used by our IB stakeholders. The DevOps team is responsible for development of change requests, small-medium projects and large initiatives on Salesforce. This role requires a deep understanding, and extensive hands on commercial experience of Salesforce software architecture and development techniques. Our business services involve multiple applications on Salesforce platform and architecture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and/or improve technological solutions on Salesforce platform for new or existing applications in line with functional requirements and specifications.
2. Specify, (co)develop and maintain techniques, procedures and guidelines within the own functional area.
3. Keep up with relevant developments, technological and market related, in own field of specialization, develop and maintain own network and exchange knowledge with other professionals.
4. Monitor and evaluate IT service and performance are in line with contract agreements and specifications.
5. Advises management and stakeholders on IT developments, issues and solutions and supports decision making on technical issue.
6. Investigate and analyze technical IT incidents and problems, develop technical solutions and secure knowledge gathered from troubleshooting cases to create the necessary means & methods for the future (‘zero repeat’).
About You
7. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience
8. Extensive hands-on experience building, configuring and maintaining applications on Salesforce
9. Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I is required, and Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II is desired
10. Familiarity with Copado or Azure DevOps
11. Strong understanding of Salesforce platform and specifically regarding Apex Triggers, Aura, Visualforce Pages, Lightning Web Components and Enterprise Architecture
12. Knowledge on Document generator tools like Conga Composure
13. Significant exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD tools like Flosum or Copado
14. Focuses on delivering value to schedule without compromising quality
15. Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, written and oral.
16. Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented.
17. Ability to work both independently, and within a team.
18. Ability to work within a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines, multitask and cope with multiple activities.

Please note that in September 2025 our Cardiff Office will relocate to Fusion Point One, Dumballs Road, Cardiff, CF10 5BF. The building is a 5-minute walk from Cardiff Central Station and a 10-minute walk to the city centre. Our new offices will have 60 parking spaces available which will be reservable online.
