Job Description
Classroom support are excited to be working with a large Primary school near Biggin Hill who are looking to recruit a large number of SEN Teaching Assistants to support in their SEN provision. The new provision is opening and is receiving a large number of EHCP statemented children with a range of specialist support needs.
You will be based in the school for the remainder of the academic year at minimum, working with pupils with needs ranging from ASD to Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties. The school has a high number of SEN children, from Early Years up to the latter KS2. You will then move into the new school provision to continue supporting your 1:1 pupil in a brand new learning environment.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.45pm, with a pay rate of £90 per day. The role is term-time only.
It is essential that you have some of the following experience:
* Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour related to their learning difficulties.
* A keen understanding of building bonds with pupils who find learning difficult due to complex SEN needs.
* Experience working in a Primary School SEN unit or care setting is highly advantageous.
* Ability to be firm when necessary with behaviour management, while remaining compassionate and sensitive.
* Experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Dyslexia, Down Syndrome is highly advantageous.
The pay rate is £85 per day for the right candidate.

You must:
* Be able to commit to working hours of 8.30am - 3.30pm.
* Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to pay for a new Enhanced DBS with a clear Children's barred list check.
